A former member company of the TICA Darlington Insulation some years ago, set up a trust fund with ‘The Trades House of Glasgow' to provide funding for awards to be made to apprentices in the Insulation Industry of Scotland.

For a three years now Insulation apprentices have not been attending Cardonald College Glasgow and it was decided to ressurenct the award with an apprentice attending TICA College in Darlington.

The award was given to Roderick McKenzie from 'Rig Blast' as a result of the commitment and dedication he had shown on his apprenticeship.

A further award was also made to Garry Curran who is currently attending a pre-apprentice course at Cardonald College for his enthusiasm and williness to learn the trade. We would like to wish Garry all the best for the furture as he has now secured an apprenticeship with NIS Scotland.
