NVQ Milestone is reached for the asbestos Industry

After many years of hard work by ACAD and many others in the industry along with countless false dawns, ACAD can now announce that it is ready to begin assessing for the Removal of Hazardous & Non Hazardous Waste NVQ Level 2.

After overcoming many obstacles, ACAD will complete the induction of asbestos workers this December. We have received a number of enquiries from licensed contractors wishing to register their interest in the scheme.

As this is only the pilot scheme but it is necessary to allow our industry competent assessors to attain the required A1 qualification to assess NVQs, we have limited the scheme to eight people. However, once this pilot scheme is completed in May/June 2010 ACAD will be able to open the scheme to anyone wishing to undertake the NVQ.

Due to the unfortunate lack of industry competent people with the necessary A1 qualification, we would be very interested in speaking to anyone wishing to become an assessor for the asbestos NVQ .
