The Asbestos Control & Abatement Division (ACAD) formed in 1994 as a Trade Association and UKATA Asbestos Removal Training Provider representing specialists in asbestos removal.
As a non-profit making Association, ACAD was created entirely for organisations around the UK who are involved in the asbestos industry whether in removal, surveying or consulting. However, we also pride ourselves on providing free advice to the public who may have queries regarding asbestos or who they may need to contact in order to remove it.
If you are unsure about where to find asbestos or what it may look like please view our 'About Asbestos' page
ACAD's ‘Full' members are only eligible to join the Association if they hold a Health and Safety Executive License (HSE) and have been thoroughly audited by ourselves or another regulated auditing body. As a member of the public, you can rest assure ACAD will recommend a fully qualified asbestos removal company in your area.
Why not take a look at our interactive membership search map to locate an ACAD member in your area?
ACAD have a close working relationship with the HSE and have assisted with the promotion of the award winning Hidden Killer Campaign
