This training can be delivered ‘in house’ at your company premises, as long as a suitable training classroom is available and practical training space and equipment are provided.

This asbestos training course is for experienced and trained asbestos removal operatives considered capable of becoming asbestos removal supervisors.
The course involves a combination of quality theory and practical training, providing candidates with the necessary knowledge and skills required for supervising asbestos removal projects and operatives.

• Module 2 - Health Hazards of Asbestos
• Module 3 - Legislation
• Module 4 &17 - Site Set up & Dismantling + Management Systems & Monitoring
(Enclosures/Air Extraction)
• Module 5 - Controlled Stripping Techniques
• Module 6 & 7- PPE & RPE
• Module 8 - Decontamination & Transit Procedures
• Module 9 - Site Clearance and Air Testing
• Module 10- Plant & Equipment Types & Uses
• Module 11 - Waste management, Legislation & Disposal
• Module 12 - Emergency Procedures
• Module 13 - Non asbestos hazards
• Module 14- Fault Finding
• Module 15 &18 - Roles & Responsibilities, RA's & POW
• Module 16 Site Inspection and Record Keeping
• Module 19 Information, instruction & training
PRACTICAL TRAINING COVERS:
• Module 10 - Plant & Equipment (use & maintenance demonstration)
• Module 14 - Fault Finding
• Module 24 - Decontamination & Transit Procedures including full showering
• Module 25 - Use & Maintenance of RPE
• Module 26 - Enclosures & airlock construction, NPU attachment, Smoke testing & Waste removal
• Module 27 - Use of Controlled Stripping Techniques (injection, shadow vacuuming, etc.)
Delegate Requirements:
Trunks/shorts & towel & spare pair of socks (for decontamination procedure)
Experience Required:
Candidates must have previously worked as asbestos removal operatives. The code of conduct suggests that candidates should have a minimum of 2 yrs experience.
On successful completion of a multiple-choice exam, candidates receive an ACAD training record card and certificate, valid for one year.
